Executive Assistant to the Principal
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled, and organised Executive Assistant to provide high-level executive and administerial support to our Principal, Board of Directors and CFO, on a day to day basis. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Principal's Office.
As a vital member of our educational community, you will engage with stakeholders, and act as a key liaison between Principal and staff, parents, and students while handling confidential matters with tact and discretion.
This position will require you to be proactive and have exceptional communication and organisational skills, as well as experience handling a wide range of administrative tasks in a precise manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for the Principal, providing a high level of support
- Manage diaries, appointments, and meetings
- Assist in budget management and financial tasks
- Assist in the coordination of major events and projects as well as coordinate special lunches and events on behalf of the Principal
- Provide administrative support and oversee office operations
- Maintain accurate and up to date records and documentation across a range of areas such as Student Protection, Financial Records, Board Reports and statutory accountability
- Liaise with key stakeholders such as the College Board, Executive, Academic, Finance, Administrative and Support staff as required.
Requirements:
- Highly developed written and communication skills combined with a proven record of professional conduct that is consistent with the level of the position.
- Advanced knowledge in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and a disposition for skills advancement in such technologies.
- Experience with document drafting and database management
- Strong interpersonal skills and a solution-focused approach
- Well developed organisational and time management abilities
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritise work load
- Experience in an independent school will be very highly regarded, though not essential
- Relevant degree/diploma qualifications
- Working with Children Blue Card or be willing to obtain one.
